Short Biography
Stacy Yung coordinates the Single Subject Credential Program in UCI's Master of Arts in Teaching and Credential Program. She's an alumna of the MAT program herself, and holds a B.A. in Social Science from UCI, specializing in secondary education with minors in education and history.
She brings more than 15 years in K-12 education to the role, including 12 years as a middle school history teacher. She helped open two schools as a founding staff member and also served as an instructional coach, Induction TOSA, department chair, EdTech mentor, and member of her school's leadership team.
Stacy believes classrooms can be spaces of transformation where students and educators feel seen, valued, and empowered to pursue justice, joy, and collective liberation.
