Short Biography
Dr. Basil Ike is a Primary Care Sports Medicine physician within the Department of Family Medicine. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of non-surgical orthopedic issues, caring for athletes and active individuals of all ages and levels. His clinical interests include medical education, sport-related concussions, ultrasound-guided joint and tissue injections, Pediatric Sports Medicine, and orthobiologic injections including hyaluronic acid and platelet rich plasma (PRP).

Dr Ike earned his medical degree from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine at New Mexico State University. He completed his Family Medicine residency with an emphasis on lifestyle medicine at Loma Linda University, and his Sports Medicine fellowship at UCLA.

He currently serves as a team physician for UC Irvine Athletics and is an active member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians
