Short Biography
Dr. Edmund Hsu is a board-certified UCI Health emergency physician who specializes in simulation medicine and point of care ultrasound.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, Florida. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at Mount Sinai St Luke’s-Roosevelt in New York. He completed a fellowship in simulation medicine at the University of California, Irvine, and a fellowship in point of care ultrasound at the University of California, Irvine. He has a focused practice designation in advanced emergency ultrasound through the american board of emergency medicine. He has a Masters of Science in Instructional Design and Technology from the California State University, Fullerton. He is the UC Irvine ED Ultrasound Director and Director of Ultrasound Medical Education.
His research interest includes studying the intersection of point of care ultrasound with medical education and simulation medicine.
