Short Biography
Dr. Wang has a wide range of research interests, including pharmacokinetics, herbal medicine, and formulation development. He has been the principal Investigator or co-investigator for various projects and authored many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
Dr. Wang possesses expertise in preclinical and clinical pharmacokinetic studies. He has conducted and supervised multiple studies, gaining expertise in various aspects of pharmacokinetics studies, including animal handling, sample collection, bioanalytical assay development and validation, and data analysis. Furthermore, Dr. Wang has a strong background in pharmacokinetic modeling, with a specific emphasis on predicting drug pharmacokinetics in human subjects by utilizing Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models.
Dr. Wang is also interested in the study of herbal medicines, including quality control, functional studies, and complementary or alternative treatments that involve using herbal medicine in combination with other drugs. His previous studies have identified several herbal extracts and their active components capable of enhancing the cytotoxicity of chemotherapeutical agents.
Furthermore, Dr. Wang has experience in developing new formulations to achieve improved therapeutic outcomes, such as sublingual formulation development and nanoparticle. This involves optimizing drug delivery systems to enhance drug stability, bioavailability, targeting, and therapeutic efficacy.
