• Public speaker, Emplicity’s Total Health & Wellness Virtual Event 9/10/2021, “Managing Stress and Anxiety” educational presentation.
• Presenter, Cal State Fullerton and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) 9/8/2021.“Use of Vitamins and Supplements in Preventing Viral Infections” educational presentation.
• Presenter, UCI Internal Medicine Residency Conference 9/3/2021,“Complementary & Alternative Medicine” lecture for UCI residents at facilities including VA Long Beach, UCI Medical Center, and affiliated locations.
• Public speaker, City of Irvine “Senior Fitness Expo” 8/27/2021,“Diet and Exercise” public education presentation.
• Manager, Screen Now And Prevent Program Health Clinic – USC, Keck School of Medicine, 9/2007- 6/2009. Supervised staff, organized and conducted health screening, and general counseling. Helped start the health clinic, created a website, and managed info sessions at Los Angeles County Hospital.
• Workshop Teacher, Community Outreach – Los Angeles County, Central Juvenile Hall, 9/2007- 5/2009. Presented workshops about ‘Dating Violence’ and ‘Contraception’ to incarcerated youth.
• Co-Founder, USC Physicians for Human Rights – USC, Keck School of Medicine 9/2007-6/2008. Helped organize World Aids Day 2007 campaign, including petition signing and information awareness.
• Science Fair Facilitator, USC Civic & Community Relations – Los Angeles Area. 3/2008- 5/2008. Taught students at Murchison St. Elementary School to create science fairs, experiments, and present to judges.

Research
• Clinical Researcher -- Internal Medicine Department- LAC+USC 10/2016. Submitted IRB and initiated study on the use of complementary and alternative medicine alongside routine medical care, among diverse patient populations.
• Epidemiology Researcher – LAC+USC Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care 3/2008-10/2009, 2012. Published study on thrombocytosis in ICU patients, and presented at the American College of Surgeons Southern California conference. Published study on the severity, treatment and recovery rates of falls in the elderly. Co-investigator of study on HIV and blood exposure among physicians in training.
• Clinical Researcher -- Emergency Department- LAC+USC 3/2008- 11/2008. Helped conduct various studies including the effects of genotype on response to asthma therapy. Tasks included phlebotomy, interviewing and enrolling patients.
• Epidemiology Researcher & Technical Writer -- Gastroenterology Department- VA Hospital, Long Beach 10/2004- 10/2007. Evaluated and analyzed national data sets, resulting in several journal articles. Studied hepatitis C, alcohol and liver disease, cholelithiasis, and endoscopic procedures .
• Lab Researcher – Dept. of Medicine, Physiology & Biophysics, UC Irvine Medical School 9/2005-6/2006. Studied the body’s integration of vitamins. Worked with E. coli, brain tissue, and cell cultures.
• Clinical Researcher & Project Manager – Emergency Dept. UC Irvine Medical Center 7/2004-8/2005. Managed the study of FAST scan sensitivity in detecting injuries. Interviewed and enrolled candidate patients.
