Short Biography
Dr. Joyce Lee is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor and a founding faculty member at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice, School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS), UC Irvine. She is also the coordinator for the Faculty Mentorship & Development Program for the faculty members. Prior to joining UCI in March 2020, Dr. Lee was an expatriate faculty member at National University of Singapore (Republic of Singapore) for 11 years, where she established numerous pharmacist-involved clinical services in the community, tertiary care, and primary care settings. At UCI, Dr. Lee established a referral-based, hybrid comprehensive medication management service called CAREPILLS at the height of the COVID19 pandemic together with the interdisciplinary healthcare team at UCI Health Family Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Through CAREPILLS, Dr. Lee continues to provide chronic disease management to medically underserved populations in Orange County. Currently, Dr. Lee is a committee member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Membership Advisory Group, and the Chair-elect for ADA’s Diabetes Self-Management Education & Support (DSMES) Interest Group Leadership Team. Dr. Lee is also an editorial board member for Journal of American College of Clinical Pharmacy (JACCP).
