Short Biography
Dr. Nisa Zacharias, MS, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and nurse leader dedicated to advancing health equity through clinical excellence, education, and mentorship. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from University of California, San Francisco and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner training at Western University of Health Sciences in 2017.

As Program Director of the FNP Residency Program at University of California, Irvine, Dr. Zacharias is passionate about clinically preparing the next generation of nurse practitioners to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in diverse and underserved communities. She is deeply committed to fostering clinical confidence, critical thinking, and compassionate leadership in advanced practice nurses.

Dr. Zacharias also practices clinically at UCI Family Health, where she provides comprehensive primary care with a focus on chronic disease management, preventive care, and improving access for underserved populations. Through her combined roles in practice and education, she works to strengthen the primary care workforce and advance equitable health outcomes.
