Research Abstract
Dr. Tadir is studying the applications of photomedicine in gynecology. His research efforts are being undertaken to develop a new photodynamic treatment modality for selective endometrial ablation and endometriosis. This concept may lead to a new diagnostic tool for fluorescent laparoscopy and/or hysteroscopy. Dr. Tadir’s other research interests include the micromanipulation of gametes with laser micro beams in IVF, and photodynamic therapy for cervical lesions. Future areas of collaboration for Dr. Tadir include the development of new devices in minimally invasive surgery including thermal imaging, optical biopsy system (OBS) and laparoscopic ultrasound.
