Research Abstract
Neuroendocrine response to stress and depression during adolescent pregnancy and infant developmental outcome. Effects of self-injurious behavior in the developmentally disabled on neuroendocrine stress measures. Development of an animal model of mental retardation by perinatal exposure to non-pharmaceutical agents. Other studies have included the investigation of biological markers and neuroendocrine responses in affective disorders. Recent Work has focused on the neuroendocrine response to nicotine induced cardiovascular changes in modulating perception of pain and aversiveness in smokers and non-smokers.
