Research Abstract
The central focus of my research is how young children's skills and relationships are affected by their social environments. I began by studying how early child development is affected by mothers' attitudes, knowledge and behavior, then expanded this to include the contributions of fathers, siblings, babysitters, classmates, and teachers. My current research interests include children in different custodial arrangements following parental divorce, effects of infant daycare on development, and children's eyewitness testimony.
